Atlantus Film Projection /
This week from Tue 10th to Sun 15th Nov the Skipton Arts Series Jersey Projection Gallery starts at 5:30 pm with night screenings on the facade of Normans, Commercial Buildings, St Helier. Our 12 mins Atlantus film will be screened, featuring photographs and out takes from our newspaper. Images are mixed with the voices from some of the central characters in our transoceanic journey. Listen to Herdsman Bryan Le Brocq speaking in a Jersey accent of his time when he brought cows across the Atlantic Ocean from Jersey to New Jersey in the 1960s and hear Linda Lee Wagner talk about her memories of receiving Precious Galinthia, a Jersey heifer given to her as part the tercentenary celebrations in 1964. The outdoor display also includes work from Jersey Heritage, Photo-Archive Societe-Jersiaise, Archisle: Jersey Contemporary Photography Programme and CCA Galleries International Collections among others. Viewing will be from the Steam Clock, where Coco Rico will be selling crepes and hot drinks.
